Summary
One of the key tasks of education today is to enable students to learn capacities for living in multicultural worlds. This paper explains something of what this mean. It clarifies terminology and explains what cultural competence or intercultural capacity means. If offers a brief overview of the condition of learning to live in a culturally, plurilingual community and what schools need to do to be able enable capacity building.
