The most important thing for which we can prepare a child is the experience of freedom, at the right moment in life, through the understanding of one's own being.

Title: ECSWE Waldorf 100 conference on education and the future
Start date: 07.11.2019
Organizer: ECSWE
Location: Brussels
Description:

To celebrate 100 years of the Waldorf movement, it is our pleasure to invite you to a conference on education and the future in Brussels on Thursday 7 November 2019.

How can education empower young people to build meaningful relationships with the world ?

What does education need to focus on in a society with instant access to vast amounts of information?

What are the roles of education policies, curricula design, assessment, and the EU's Key Competences for Lifelong Learning?

The conference seeks to engage policy makers, academics, teachers and other stakeholders in a lively debate on the future of school education.

The event will be opened by Gert Biesta, Professor of Public Education at Maynooth University, Ireland and NIVOZ Professor for Education at the University of Humanistic Studies, The Netherlands.

His keynote address will be followed by a panel discussion, group workshops, Waldorf alumni and student testimonials, as well as music and art activities.

With a programme from 9am to 9pm, lunch and dinner will be provided.

Pre-register here to receive updates on the programme and priority access to tickets.
The event is free for registered participants.

More information will follow soon.

Looking forward to a productive and inspiring day together!
